hi everyone! Fusoloid here with another short update on how things are going.

in short, aside from working on the game, i’ve been, among other things, getting used to my new day job. i’ve been mainly working on the script and puzzle ideas, but recently, my brain decided it wanted to get work done on new maps. here’s a sneak peek:

i’m planning to make use of this positive momentum for as long as i can. thank you once again, and i hope to get back with an update soon!

Happy Halloween! 🎃

Hello, everyone. We’re back with a bit of an update.

Short version: Due to the state of my mental health worsening towards the end of last year, progress with the game’s development has been extremely slow. While things are getting better gradually, things aren’t back to 100%, but I will keep going forward, and I will get back to working on the game full force eventually.

Long version: Towards the end of 2021, my mental health took a real nosedive. For months, I’ve had effectively zero motivation to work on the game, or do anything creative. Without going too much into the specifics (bc i don’t feel comfortable doing so), even opening up my laptop has felt too much for me for the most part. I’ve managed to get the help I need, and things have been getting better, but the state of The Me™ is still not back at 100%. So things are definitely going to be slow for a bit longer, but I am going to keep working on my mental health and my motivation.

At the end of the day, this is a project of passion for me, and I don’t think I would be able to create an end product that is satisfactory to myself if I forced myself to work on the project no matter what. Things will get better, even though it may take a while longer. I know it would’ve been nice to see AF2 release this year, but it’s not looking very likely. So, for now, I’m taking things easy and work on things at my own pace. Hopefully I will be able to make proper updates more frequently in the future.
